Mahila Samriddhi Yojana By Government Of India

 With the objective to encourage women entrepreneurs and give impetus to their business journey, the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the Government of India has implemented a strategic policy – Mahila Samridhi Yojana. Under the visionary scheme, the government provides microfinance to women entrepreneurs hailing from marginalized sections of the society – backward classes. Designed considering the women empowerment, the flagship scheme is being implemented by a wide range of channel partners nationwide. Targeted women beneficiaries are identified and given loan either directly or in the form of Self-Help Groups (SHGs)



(1) Mahila Samridhi Yojana (MSY) Gujarat 

Eligibility Of MSY

Women Safai Karamcharis/ Scavengers and their dependant daughters


Purpose Of MSY

For small and petty trade/business and sundry income generating

activities.


Quantum of loan Of MSY

Upto a maximum of 90% of the unit cost with a maximum of Rs.50000.

Balance 10% is to be provided by the Channelizing Agencies (CAs) in

the form of loan, subsidy and from any other available sources of funds.

Promoters’ contribution Of MSY

Promoter’s contribution is not insisted upon from the beneficiaries

Repayment period Of MSY

Upto 3 years after implementation period of 3 months and a moratorium

of 6 months.


(2) Micro Credit Finance (MCF)

Eligibility Of MCF

Safai Karamcharis, Scavengers and their dependants.


Purpose Of MCF

For small and petty trade/business and sundry income generating

activities.


Quantum of loan Of MCF

Upto 90% of the unit cost with a maximum of Rs.50000 per beneficiary.

For a group of 10 persons, Rs. 5 lac is provided (restricted to Rs. 50000 per beneficiary).

Balance 10% is to be provided by the Channelizing Agencies (CAs) in the form of loan, subsidy and from all other available sources of funds.

Promoter’s contribution is not insisted upon from the beneficiaries

Rate of interest Of MCF

From NSKFDC to CAs : 2% p.a.

From CAs to beneficiaries : 5% p.a.

Repayment period Of MCF

Upto 3 years after implementation period of 3 months and a moratorium

of 6 months.


(3) Mahila Adhikarita Yojana (MAY)

Eligibility of MAY

Women Safai Karamcharis/ Scavengers and their dependant daughters

Purpose For small and petty trade/business and sundry income generating

activities.


Quantum of loan of MAY

Upto 90% of the unit cost with a maximum of Rs.75000.

Balance 10% is to be provided by the Channelizing Agencies

(CAs) in the form of loan, subsidy and from all other available

sources of funds.

Promoters’ contribution Promoter’s contribution is not insisted upon from the beneficiaries.

Rate of interest of MAY

From NSKFDC to CAs : 2% p.a.

From CAs to beneficiaries : 5% p.a.

Repayment period of MAY

Upto 5 years after implementation period of 3 months and a moratorium of

6 months.


Online apply time period of MAY

Application Period from 15/06/2030 to 15/10/2050
