7160 workers in state Anganwadi centers - Tedagar sisters to be recruited through online portal


 The online e-HRMS portal for transparent recruitment of Honorary Servants including Anganwadi Workers, Tedagar and Mini Anganwadi Workers working on honorary salary in the state was opened by Minister Shri Ganpat Singh Vasava and Minister of State Shri Vibhavariben Dave at Gandhinagar Swarnim Sankul-1.

 Unveiling the "e-HRMs Gujarat" portal, Minister for Women and Child Welfare Shri Ganpat Singh Vasava said that "Gujarat" has become a role model in the entire country since the time of the then Chief Minister and the present Prime Minister Shri Narendrabhai Modi.

 Gujarat is the only country in the country.This is one more step towards characterizing the four ideal principles of public administration of the state government - sensitivity, transparency, decisiveness and progressivism.  The CM dashboard of the technology-savvy CM is a prime example.  Delegations from other states come to Gujarat to see the Gujarat model and implement it in their own state.  This is the success of good governance in the state, he added.


 Minister of State for Women and Child Development Shri Vibhavariben Dave said that the portal launched by this department will prove to be a very important step for the sisters serving honorarium.  He hoped that other states would follow suit in this way in the online recruitment process for Anganwadi workers and Tedagar sisters.

 Stating that necessary arrangements have been made so that the sisters living in Chhewada villages do not have any inconvenience in filling up the online form, the Minister added that the sisters will be able to fill up the form with the help of VCE from the Gram Panchayat. Necessary circulars have been issued for that.  This portal will prove to be a blessing for recruiting without human interference.

 Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Women and Child Development, Smt. Manisha Chandra said that 3155 Anganwadi workers and 4005 Tedagar sisters have been recruited in the districts and metros of the state. A total of 7160 posts will be recruited through the online portal in the next six months.  Currently there are 53029 Anganwadi functioning in the state.  Out of which 51229 Anganwadi workers and 51229 Tedagar sisters are on duty.  While in Mini Anganwadi, 1800 worker sisters are on duty.

 Mr. Ashok Sharma, Director, ICDS, said that out of the total posts of 1 lakh four thousand honorary servants, 97098 posts have been filled.  In the next six months, the online recruitment process will be expedited.  The cycle is planned to be completed. Mehsana district was selected as the pilot project of online recruitment process out of which recruitment process of 111 Anganwadi workers and 121 Tedagar sisters has been completed.
