Understand the government's new guideline of LOCKDOWN 3.0 in 16 points in simple language



 Today, the government has ordered to extend the lockdown, which will end on May 4, to 2 weeks after May 4, 2020, in view of the growing threat of the Koro crisis.  However, this time the government has given concessions on a number of activities and the Home Department in a press release issued a circular stating which activities in which areas have been sanctioned.


 1. In view of the current situation of Corona Crisis in the country and the control of Corona in the country due to lockdown, the Department of Home Affairs, Government of India under the Disaster Management Act 2005 has today ordered to extend the lockdown for 2 weeks after 4 May 2020.

 2. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare provided detailed information on how the Red, Green and Orange Zones have been determined in a letter released on April 30.


 3. In the districts of the country where the Municipal Corporations are located, due to high population and density, the number of cases in the areas of the Municipal Corporations is high and low.  The districts are now divided into 2 parts.  If no new case has been reported in the last 21 days in the area outside the municipality, the area will be reduced one level.  I.e. will make it from red to orange or from orange to green zone.  But case-wise restrictions will apply in the municipal area.  This arrangement is made only for the districts having a corporation.

 4. Air, rail travel, interstate road travel, schools, colleges, educational institutions, hotels, restaurants, cinema halls, malls, gyms, sports complexes, social, cultural, political, religious gatherings in any zone of the country Red, Orange, Green,  Facilities like places of worship will be closed.  It is possible to travel after obtaining special approval for reasons that fall within the government’s guidelines.
