The first passenger train running in the lockdown, only 1200 passengers can travel

Railways on Friday ran a passenger train for the first time since the lockdown began.  The special train was rushed to Hatia in Jharkhand to pick up 1,200 tourists stranded at Lingampally in Telangana, which will reach Hatia around 11 pm tonight. Keep in mind, this is a special train.

Currently only one train is running.  Not a single train is running on the remaining spaces.  The railways have already made it clear that there is no question of running trains without the notice of the central government.

RPF DG Arun Kumar said, "The train of 24 coaches left at 4.50 am on Friday."  "This is the first train ever run," he said.  Coincidentally, Friday is also International Labor Day.

Many states are demanding the running of special trains

Many states like Punjab and Bihar have demanded special trains from the Center to transport transporters.  In a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said that the number of trapped laborers was so large that they could not come by buses.  They have demanded to run trains for this.  Similarly, Bihar Deputy CM Sushil Modi has made a similar demand.

He said, 'A large number of tourists are in places like Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai which are very far away.  Buses can take at least 6 to 7 days to get there and back, so it is not advisable to bring people on such a large scale by buses.  Doing so will take more than a month.
